Twins News - Guinness Book of World Record Shattered by Twin pairs.

Guinness Book of World Records has a Record Shattered by Twins.

2 dozen sets of twins (Yup, that's 24 sets) at an Illinois school, set a new world record for the most sets of twins in ONE GRADE LEVEL .  That's 48 very excited, twin-tastical kiddos so happy to hold a Guinness Book world record!

Here are a few facts shared in the Huffington Post Article...

"This Guinness book record blew away the current record of 16 sets of twins in one grade level, at one school."

"The breakdown of the sets of twins is as follows:  

Twin A: Waaaaaaa, how did they beat our record?
Twin B: Wowza, that's a lot oh' twins in one place.

Three sets of boy-boy twins, 11 sets of girl-girl twins and 10 sets of boy-girl twins. The two sets of identical twins are girls."  Most are fraternal twins.

For awhile now, Francois Brunelle has been using his photography skills to document doppelgangers

Doppelgangers are people who happen to look strikingly similar, almost like twins, but who aren't related.

Many non-twins are fascinated by twin siblings and the bond that they share. Brunelle's doppelganger pairs were no exception to this fascination.  Many of his pairs have been thrilled to find their "un-related" twin in life.  Many even felt an instant bond with his or her familiar looking friend.

9 Month Old Twins Swim and Float like Super Stars!

Wow.  These twins are shattering all the expectations that most parents have for their nine month old.  Although they can't walk or talk yet and still need mom and dad to feed and bath them, they have mastered the skill of swimming the length of a 25 meter swimming pool.  Yes, 25 meters ya'll!
This has amazed their swim instructors as well as their parents.  Dad even sees the Olympics in their future.
To Ellie and William Trykush, well done little buggers and hope you continue to enjoy yourself in this pool we call life!  -From twins with tots

Farewell To My "Sister"

I'll catch hell for posting this bathing suit picture
from my wife as well as Becca, but I don't care.
Wifey is left and My "Sis" is on the right.

It has been great having my sister-in-law back in country for the last few weeks. She is my wife's twin sister, and I have known them both since they were 12 years old. One of my fondest memories of Rebecca and I as childhood friends was our ongoing game of "Punch Buggy". Every time one of us saw a VW bug we would haul off and nail the others shoulder with everything we had. We both spent our summers with bruised shoulders, but we loved the game.
Rebecca's husband's work brings him to Germany full time, so they have moved there permanently with their 2 children for the next couple of years. This has been hard on my wife, who basically talks to Becca on a daily basis, if not hourly sometimes! Good thing we have the unlimited plan!
Last night my daughter Mia and I were the first ones to have to leave the family get together that we were having, and therefore were the first ones that Becca had to say goodbye to before she returns to Germany. For the first time in my life, as I hugged Rebecca and she sobbed, I really felt like I was saying goodbye to a blood sister, being that I'm an only child.
I reminisced on the ride home about just how long I really have known Rebecca, 29 years, and most of those years we have been active friends. I'm not always quick on the uptake, but I just realized yesterday how important all of Cathy's family have become to me. After 17 years of marriage they have all become great friends. I know many of their idiosyncrasies and they know most of mine! But to my "big sister" Becca, I will miss you dearly sister, you are one of my oldest friends, and one of my best friends. When Germany is done with you, we will be relieved to have you back with us. Have a safe trip, I love you.

I was on the Facebook page for Think Twins, a twin store located in Australia, when I happened upon this great image.  It is of two window cleaners dressed in Superman suits.  

My nephew would love this picture.  He is a total superman fanatic.

But, why the suits you ask?  

These two guys do it for the kids at Evelina Children's Hospital in London. They wear the superhero costumes so that the patients can get a good laugh as the two go by their windows.

Twins and Multiples - Traveling on Planes with Twins!

Parents of 14 month old twins passed out notes and bags of candy to fellow airplane passengers prior to taking off with their Twins on a long flight.

What do you think of this idea? - 

Do you think more parents should do something like this?  

Or should fellow passengers just accept the fact that little-ones could be on their flight and those little-ones may cry, screech, squeak, giggle,...like any other little-one would?
