9/14/11 Texas Wildfires Coming Under Control -  As armies of firefighters descend on Texas to fight back massive brush fires that have destroyed more than 1,500 homes in the past week, the sensitive work of helping the victims deal with loss is swinging into high gear.

    Amazing Melissa isn't it. Just a-ways across the country and you barely know it is happening. 1500 homes lost...unbelieveable!

    I'm so glad they're getting this under control!

    I got your comment on my blog and to answer your questions I do for the most part stay on track with our menu.

    Sometimes I'll deviate a little if I'm too tired to cook a major meal. Other times we'll end up with more leftovers than usual in which case we'll just eat those for an extra night and then I'll carry over the meal we missed to the next week.

    Just dropping in to say hi. I'm following you back from a blog hop (can't remember which one at moment!) I live in Houston and some of these fires are just North of us. One friend has lost their house. We aren't in danger but the pictures really make you pause for a moment.
