Touching, fascinating Video - Nature Vs. Nurture: Young Twin Sisters separated at birth & raised in different countries meet for the first time

It's sad, lovely, interesting, frustrating, connecting...But yes, we are fascinated!

Twins: Nature vs Nurture - Young Twin Sisters separated at birth, and raised in different countries, meet for the first time.

(Side Note - Some parts of the video are in Norwegian (Norsk or Danish...) but the majority of the video is in English...)

Other's Feedback - Reunion #1 video

  • @lukeas77 I was unsure about commenting but I wanted to clear something up. I'm Mia's older brother. Both girls were given to the respective families without any mention of the other sister, and even denied that they were related when they went back to confront them about it. As for an update, both families were just reunited again (and filmed), but this time in Norway back in July. We consider ourselves all as one big family now and the girls talk on the phone every month.
  • what a story...and yes the moment they met just sank my heart.,thank you for sharing this fairytale and may the twins have many more happy reunions.

@ShmishShmorshin Thank you for the update. We have an adopted niece from China, named Maia. I enjoyed this piece but, we do wonder about her family in China. Does she have siblings she doesn't know about? The typical questions you ask yourself. Mia's story is remarkable. It's wonderful to know the girls were able to reunite. What a blessing!
  • The twin chinese girls are so cute, but their lives are so twisted and makes me rethink the saddening difference between nature and nurture. Is that God's arrangement or just a shaped by a random mistake of Chinese offical
  • It is really sad and unbelievable that two twins should be sent to two different families. The chinese authorities should have sent the twins to any family who wanted to adopt them together. It is really callous of them. I hope they can be together once they grow up.
  • I was looking for this ! Thanks :):)
  • clones?

Part 2 from the meeting between identical twins having been raised in different countries since they were adopted at an early age. Mia was raised in California, USA and Alexandra was raised in Norway.
1-0 to nature versus nurture !

Other's Feedback - Reunion #2 video

  • Even though seperated from their biological parents and from each other, one good thing in the twins favour is that they both have very good, lovely families.
  • I hope there are more updates about them in the futer! <3
  • They are so beautiful! Good luck and God Bless.
  • omg... their split up made me cry :<
  • Why should u bring them together n take them apart?! It is heart breaking! rather they dont see each other! It may upset their life activities when they r separated! Why would u want to do that! Rather they dont meet fr years n they would forget each other n be fine!
  • OMG, I cried when they had to say goodbye....
  • oohh thats sad
  • I'm very happy for the two families for finding each other.
They look so much like my daughter who is from Wuwei.
What province are the twins from?
  • This went on swedish television aswell , brilliant!
  • God bless the two Chinese twins...LUCKY
