365 Days of Twinipedia - Day 28

Day Twenty-Eight of Twinipedia:

Fact #28
When you are pregnant with twins, you will spend more time in your obstetricians office than a woman who is pregnant with a single baby. This is because you are more likely to need extra ultrasounds so that your ObGyn can check on your twins growth and development. You also may be more prone to bleeding and this may lead to more MD visits in order to double-check that all is well with your twins. Increased chances of miscarriage, and gestational diabetes also increase MD checks which equals more office visits.

In the end, better safe than sorry. More frequent doctor's office visits may not be convenient but they will give you peace of mind when you get the "All's-Clear" report.
