Fact #29
Morning sickness tends to be worse with twin and multiples pregnancies.
Here is how one doctor on WebMD.com explains why this happens during twin pregnancies -
"One of the things that is known to cause morning sickness during pregnancy is high levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), and we know that levels of this HCG hormone are higher in twin pregnancies, so women carrying twins have a higher incidence of nausea and vomiting in the first trimester," says Al-Khan. The good news? Most morning sickness abates within 12 to 14 weeks of pregnancy -- even in twin pregnancies.
Amazon carries many books full of helpful advice about how to manage and survive Morning Sickness.
